Member Rewards

Columbia Valley Credit Union is proud to reward our members by paying dividends and loan interest rebates annually. It's our way of thanking you for your patronage during the year.

Each year the Columbia Valley Credit Union gives back a percentage of loan interest paid, in addition to a dividend on savings in your "Class D Shares" account. Interest is paid annually on January 1.

In 2014 we returned 473,000 to our members.

How will the CRA treat my dividend income?

According to the CRA, the dividends from Investments Shares will be treated as interest income from a Canadian source. This income must be reported on your income tax return. Columbia Valley Credit Union will issue and mail you the appropriate T-5 form for this purpose.
